About me
Welcome! My name is Dale Botha. I’m a proud South African. I’m a relatively new Internet enthusiast and I have recently started to learn some of the various technologies driving the Internet ie. HTML, CSS, PHP and most recently Ruby on Rails.
As you may have guessed I have curious nature and of all things said to me this one has been said the most: “Small things amuse small minds” as a response from people having seen me extract joy and interest out of the smallest little things. I long ago discounted those remarks as those belonging to people not knowing how to react to my “strange” behaviour. I have 1 or 2 theories about why that is but I think generally people have had those things (and perhaps worse) said to them at a time when they were doing something similar and got made to feel stupid, small-minded, …(insert appropriate invalidation here). I have managed to keep this quality about myself through the years and I’ll be writing about them here every now and then.
This private blog is a running record of my thoughts on various divergant subjects centering mainly around the internet and the society at large.
